Leawood Drive Beautification Project

The Leawood West HOA is excited to announce a new beautification initiative to enhance the islands along Leawood Drive.

🍂 Phase 1: Fall Tree Removal

In the fall of 2024, we’ll begin removing trees that are diseased, damaged, or no longer contribute to the beauty of our neighborhood. With the help of professional arborists, we’ve identified trees that pose safety risks or are beyond recovery due to disease or structural issues. Removing these trees will:

• Prevent falling limbs and related hazards

• Protect surrounding trees from the spread of disease

• Prepare the area for healthy new growth

🌱 Phase 2: Spring Replanting

In the spring, we’ll replace some removed trees with native species well-suited to our local climate. These new plantings will:

• Enhance the visual appeal of our community

• Support local wildlife and pollinators

• Improve air quality and shade

This is part of our long-term commitment to maintaining a neighborhood that is not only safe and attractive but also environmentally responsible.
