October HOA Meeting

Minutes for October 24th, 2024

Jewish Community Center of Omaha

Call to order at 7:00 pm.

Approximately 16 residents attended the meeting at the JCC.

Board Members were announced.

• John Morrow was introduced as President.
• Roxanne Andrlik assumed the Beautification Chair from Tony and Carol Giesselman.
• Suzy Gunderson volunteered to serve as Vice President.
• Andy Bock volunteered as the Secretary.
• Talia Swanson agreed to continue as Treasurer.
• Stephanie McFadden will continue as Social Chairperson.
• Joseph Sopcich will continue as Webmaster.
• We are looking for a Membership Chairperson.

Roles of the Membership Chairperson

• Member Recruitment and Welcome Committee
• Member Communication and Engagement
• Membership Records Management
• Assist Event Coordination

Raising dues will be considered next year. These funds will mostly go towards maintaining the common areas and hosting holiday events.

All agreed that a pathway for greater neighborhood participation needs to be established. John will evaluate the website and messaging to facilitate that participation.

Joyce Kaye reminded the group about the Block Captain. At one time, a neighbor on each street focused on HOA membership and dues collection for their block.

Andy Bock will order signs to promote the HOA and website.

Roxanne Andrlik will evaluate common areas for future beautification efforts.

Andy Bock provided a recent covenant. Covenants continue to remain in effect until April 24th, 2026. We agreed the covenants should be posted on the website.

The meeting concluded at approximately 8:30 pm.
